# Onboarding checklist

> Complete the getting-started checklist to finish setting up your Caramel workspace.

After you create your business, a **Getting Started** checklist appears in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard. It tracks the key steps to get your workspace fully configured.

The checklist closes automatically when you mark all items complete, or you can dismiss it at any time by clicking **×**. Your progress is saved, so it won't reappear if you close and reopen the browser.

## Checklist items

| Item | What it does | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| **Business Profile** | Complete your business name, logo, and settings under **Settings → General** | Yes |
| **Activate Marketing Campaigns** | Run the marketing setup wizard to pick goals and launch your first campaigns (`/business/:id/marketing/setup`) | Yes |
| **Explore Customer Engagement** | Visit **Omnichannel** to see journeys, segments, and broadcasts | Yes |
| **Enable AI Agent** | Turn on the AI Agent to get automatic campaign suggestions (`/business/:id/marketing/ai-generator`) | Optional |

## Complete the checklist

Once all required items are done, the checklist shows a **Ready to Go!** banner. Click **Mark Onboarding Complete** to dismiss it and move to the main dashboard view.

> **Tip** You can re-access most checklist items at any time from the sidebar. Completing the checklist just removes the card — it doesn't lock any features.
