# Connect Google Workspace

> Connect Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Google Drive to Caramel to import contacts, trigger automations, and sync files.

Caramel connects to three Google products independently. Each uses a one-click OAuth flow and counts as one integration slot.

> **Plan** Each Google connector (Sheets, Calendar, Drive) counts as a separate slot. See [Usage and limits](../billing/usage-and-limits).

## Google Sheets

Import customers from a spreadsheet into Caramel's **Customers** list with full field mapping.

### Before you begin

- Your spreadsheet must have a header row.
- The sheet must be in a Google account you can authorize.

### Connect

1. Open **Integrations** and find the Google Sheets card.
2. Click **Connect**. A Google sign-in popup opens.
3. Sign in and grant access. The popup closes and the Google Sheets settings panel opens.

### Pick a spreadsheet and map fields

1. In the settings panel, click **Select spreadsheet**.
2. Browse your Google Drive and pick the spreadsheet. Then pick the sheet tab.
3. Caramel reads the header row. In the **Field Mapping** section, drag each column to the matching Caramel customer field (first name, last name, email, phone, etc.).
4. Click **Save**.

### Sync

Click **Sync now** to run an immediate import. Caramel shows processed, inserted, updated, skipped, and failed counts after each sync.

### What syncs

Caramel reads rows from the selected sheet and creates or updates matching **Customers** records. It does not write back to the spreadsheet.

## Google Calendar

Trigger automations when calendar events are created, updated, or cancelled.

### Connect

1. Open **Integrations** and find the Google Calendar card.
2. Click **Connect** and authorize Google access.
3. The card shows **Connected**.

### What syncs

Google Calendar events appear as triggers available in **Journeys** and the workflow builder. For example: send a follow-up message when a calendar event is cancelled, or enroll a customer in a Journey when an appointment is created.

## Google Drive

Attach and sync files between Google Drive and Caramel.

### Connect

1. Open **Integrations** and find the Google Drive card.
