Start from a template
Caramel includes a library of industry-specific form templates. Use one as a starting point to save time and ensure you collect the right information for your use case.
Browse templates
Section titled “Browse templates”- Go to
/business/:id/forms. - Click New Form.
- Select Start from a template (or look for a template picker option in the new-form dialog).
- Browse or search the library. Templates are tagged by industry and form type (contact, registration, feedback, intake, and more).
- Click a template to preview its fields and settings.
- Click Use this template to open it in the editor.
Customize your template
Section titled “Customize your template”Once the template is open in the editor, it behaves like any form you built from scratch:
- Add, remove, or reorder fields in the Fields tab.
- Update the headline and success message in the General tab.
- Adjust branding in the Branding tab.
- Map fields to customer records under Customer Creation in the General tab.
Tip Rename the form immediately so it’s easy to identify in your forms list. The template name is just a starting point.
About the template library
Section titled “About the template library”The library contains templates across all major industries, including hospitality, retail, healthcare, professional services, education, fitness, real estate, and more. Each template is pre-built with the fields most commonly needed for that industry and form type.
Templates are in English by default. Field labels and copy can be edited directly in the Fields and General tabs.
Next steps

- Embed your form — Publish once you’re happy with the template.
- Create a form — Build from scratch if no template fits.
