Connect an integration

Connect a third-party tool to Caramel so data flows between them automatically.

Plan The number of active integrations you can maintain depends on your plan. See Usage and limits.

  • You must be the business owner or a manager with Settings access.
  • For OAuth integrations, have your account credentials for the provider ready.
  • For key-based integrations, have the API key or webhook URL from the provider’s settings.

Most integrations — including Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Google Sheets, and Square — connect through OAuth.

  1. Open Integrations from the sidebar.
  2. Find the provider you want to connect. Use the search box or category filter.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. A popup window opens to the provider’s sign-in page. Sign in and authorize access.
  5. The popup closes and the card shows a green Connected badge.

Connect using an in-app setup panel (paste key or webhook)

Section titled “Connect using an in-app setup panel (paste key or webhook)”

Bitrix24, Slack, Make, Zapier, and OneSignal use an in-app panel instead of an OAuth popup.

  1. Open Integrations and find the provider.
  2. Click Connect (or Manage if partially set up). You are taken to the provider’s settings panel.
  3. Follow the panel instructions — you’ll paste an API key, webhook URL, or complete a wizard.
  4. Click Save or Finish in the panel. The status updates to Connected.

After connecting, Caramel performs an initial sync. Check the provider’s settings panel to confirm:

  • The Status shows Connected.
  • The Last synced timestamp updates within a few minutes.
  • If the panel shows an error, re-enter your credentials or re-authorize via OAuth.

If an integration loses access (for example, a password change or revoked OAuth token):

  1. Open Integrations and find the affected provider. It shows an error state.
  2. Click Reconnect and complete the connection flow again.

Disconnecting stops data sync and frees one connection slot.

  1. Open Integrations and click the connected provider.
  2. In the settings panel, click Disconnect (or Remove connection).
  3. Confirm the prompt. The slot is freed immediately.

Important Disconnecting does not delete customer data already synced into Caramel. It stops future syncs only.
