Connect Slack

Connect Slack to receive real-time notifications in your chosen Slack channel when things happen in Caramel — form submissions, new customers, reward redemptions, and more. It’s a one-way push from Caramel to Slack.

Plan Slack counts as one integration slot. See Usage and limits.

  • You need Slack admin access (or permission to add apps) to create an Incoming Webhook.
  • Create an Incoming Webhook in Slack:
    1. Go to api.slack.com/apps and create a new app (or pick an existing one).
    2. Under Features → Incoming Webhooks, enable the feature and click Add New Webhook to Workspace.
    3. Pick the channel to post to and click Allow.
    4. Copy the webhook URL — it looks like https://hooks.slack.com/services/T.../B.../....
  1. Open Integrations and find the Slack card.
  2. Click Connect. The Slack settings panel opens.
  3. Paste your Incoming Webhook URL into the field.
  4. Click Save. Caramel validates the URL with a test message to the channel.

Note If validation fails, check that the webhook URL is complete and that the Slack app is still installed to the workspace.

After connecting, open the Events section and toggle which Caramel activities post to Slack:

  • New form submission
  • New customer created
  • Reward redeemed
  • Form error (spam filtered, validation failed)

Toggle each event on or off and click Save events.

Click Send test message at any time to confirm Caramel can reach your Slack channel. A test post appears in the channel within a few seconds.

If you create a new Slack webhook (for example, after rotating the URL or changing channels):

  1. Open the Slack settings panel.
  2. Paste the new URL and click Save.
  1. Open Integrations and click the Slack card.
  2. Click Disconnect and confirm. Notifications stop immediately.
