Team & permissions

Every team member on your Caramel account has one of three roles. The role controls which areas of the dashboard that person can access.

Note Staff members can view the channel mix panel on Home, but cannot see revenue figures, upgrade prompts, or next best action cards.

Owner — full access to every area, including billing and team management. Every business must have at least one Owner at all times.

Manager — access to all product features (Omnichannel, AI Agent, Customers, Forms, Integrations, and most Settings sections) but cannot view billing details or manage team members.

Staff — limited access. The Home channel mix panel is visible; everything else requires an Owner or Manager role.

A seat is counted for each active team member. Pending invitations that have not been accepted do not consume a seat.
