Attach a form to a journey

You can connect a form to a Journey so that every submission automatically enrolls that customer into the automation. Use this for lead-capture flows, post-inquiry follow-ups, event sign-ups, and any case where a form fills the top of a funnel.

Plan Requires Marketing Automation (available on Starter and above) for the journey, and a published form. Omnichannel (Growth and above) is required for journeys built in the Journeys editor.

  • The form must be saved (not just in draft).
  • The journey must already exist and use a Segment entry trigger. Journeys with event-only entry triggers cannot be attached to a form from the form settings.
  • If you don’t have a journey yet, create one first. See Journeys or AI Campaign Generator.
  1. Open Forms and select the form you want to connect.
  2. Click the Integrations tab inside the form editor.
  3. Scroll to the Trigger an automation on submit section.
  4. Select a journey from the dropdown. Only published journeys appear in the list.
  5. Click Save.

The section shows a confirmation badge: Submissions trigger “[journey name]”.

Note If the dropdown is empty, you have no eligible journeys yet. Click Create automation to go to the AI Generator, build a journey, then return here to attach it.

When a customer submits the attached form:

  1. Their contact is added to Customers.
  2. They are enrolled in the attached journey as the entry trigger fires.
  3. They receive messages according to the journey steps and delays.

The same customer won’t be re-enrolled if they submit the form again while already active in the journey.

To disconnect a form from a journey, open the form’s Integrations tab, find the Trigger an automation on submit section, and click Unattach. Submissions after that point will no longer trigger the journey. Customers already in-flight in the journey continue unaffected.
