Connect Zapier
Zapier lets you build automated workflows (Zaps) between Caramel and thousands of other apps. Use Caramel as a trigger — for example, “when a form is submitted” — or as an action — “create a customer in Caramel” — from any app Zapier supports.
Plan Zapier counts as one integration slot. See Usage and limits.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- You need a Zapier account. Sign up at zapier.com.
- You need owner or manager access in Caramel to generate an API key.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”Zapier connects via an API key generated in Caramel.
- Open Integrations and find the Zapier card.
- Click Connect. The Zapier settings panel opens.
- In the API Keys section, click Generate new key. Copy the key — you’ll only see it once.
- In Zapier, create a new Zap and search for the Caramel app.
- When prompted for credentials, paste the API key from step 3.
- Zapier confirms the connection. Return to Caramel — the Zapier settings panel shows the Zap is subscribed.
Manage API keys
Section titled “Manage API keys”You can generate multiple keys — useful for separate Zaps or when rotating keys.
- To revoke a key: click Remove next to it in the API Keys list. Zaps using that key will stop working until you update them with a new key.
View connected Zaps
Section titled “View connected Zaps”The Webhook subscriptions section lists Zaps currently subscribed to your Caramel account. If a Zap is deleted in Zapier but still appears here, click Remove orphan to clean up.
View recent activity
Section titled “View recent activity”The Recent activity section shows the last 10 events sent to or received from Zapier, with success/failure status and error messages.
