Connect Meta Lead Ads

Connect your Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts so leads from your Meta ad campaigns flow into Caramel automatically. Submissions appear in Forms → Submissions and create or update records in Customers — no manual CSV downloads.

WhatsApp lead ads work the same way when you have a WhatsApp Business account connected to your Meta Business account.

Plan Each Meta platform (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) counts as one integration slot. Connecting one Page on Facebook uses one slot. See Usage and limits.

  • You need admin access to your Meta Business account.
  • Your Facebook Pages and/or Instagram professional account must be linked to that Business account.
  • For WhatsApp lead ads, your WhatsApp Business account must also be connected.
  1. Open Integrations and find the Facebook Lead Ads (or Instagram Lead Ads) card.
  2. Click Connect. The Meta sign-in flow opens.
  3. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages your Pages.
  4. Grant Caramel access to your Pages and lead data.
  5. A list of your connected Pages appears. Select which Pages to sync.
  6. Click Save. The card shows Connected.

WhatsApp lead ads follow the same flow as Facebook — start from the WhatsApp Lead Ads card in Integrations and authorize via your Meta Business account.

Once connected, Meta sends new lead ad submissions to Caramel in real time via webhook. Each submission:

  1. Creates a Form entry under Forms → Submissions with the form name, platform (Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp), and all question-answer pairs from the lead form.
  2. Creates or updates a Customers record using the email address as the identifier.

To pull in leads that arrived before you connected:

  1. Open Integrations and click the Meta Lead Ads card.
  2. Click Sync now to trigger a backfill from the last 90 days.
  1. Open the card’s settings panel.
  2. Click Manage Pages to add or remove Pages from the sync.
  1. Open Integrations and click the Meta Lead Ads card.
  2. Click Disconnect and confirm. New leads stop flowing in; existing submissions and customers are not deleted.
