Connect Google Workspace
Caramel connects to three Google products independently. Each uses a one-click OAuth flow and counts as one integration slot.
Plan Each Google connector (Sheets, Calendar, Drive) counts as a separate slot. See Usage and limits.
Google Sheets
Section titled “Google Sheets”Import customers from a spreadsheet into Caramel’s Customers list with full field mapping.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- Your spreadsheet must have a header row.
- The sheet must be in a Google account you can authorize.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”- Open Integrations and find the Google Sheets card.
- Click Connect. A Google sign-in popup opens.
- Sign in and grant access. The popup closes and the Google Sheets settings panel opens.
Pick a spreadsheet and map fields
Section titled “Pick a spreadsheet and map fields”- In the settings panel, click Select spreadsheet.
- Browse your Google Drive and pick the spreadsheet. Then pick the sheet tab.
- Caramel reads the header row. In the Field Mapping section, drag each column to the matching Caramel customer field (first name, last name, email, phone, etc.).
- Click Save.
Click Sync now to run an immediate import. Caramel shows processed, inserted, updated, skipped, and failed counts after each sync.
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”Caramel reads rows from the selected sheet and creates or updates matching Customers records. It does not write back to the spreadsheet.
Google Calendar
Section titled “Google Calendar”Trigger automations when calendar events are created, updated, or cancelled.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”- Open Integrations and find the Google Calendar card.
- Click Connect and authorize Google access.
- The card shows Connected.
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”Google Calendar events appear as triggers available in Journeys and the workflow builder. For example: send a follow-up message when a calendar event is cancelled, or enroll a customer in a Journey when an appointment is created.
Google Drive
Section titled “Google Drive”Attach and sync files between Google Drive and Caramel.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”- Open Integrations and find the Google Drive card.
- Click Connect and authorize Google access.
- The card shows Connected.
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”With Google Drive connected, you can upload files to a Drive folder and create folders from Caramel workflow actions.
Disconnect any Google connector
Section titled “Disconnect any Google connector”- Open Integrations and click the connector card.
- In the settings panel, click Disconnect.
- Confirm. Existing synced data in Caramel is not deleted.
