Connect Google Workspace

Caramel connects to three Google products independently. Each uses a one-click OAuth flow and counts as one integration slot.

Plan Each Google connector (Sheets, Calendar, Drive) counts as a separate slot. See Usage and limits.

Import customers from a spreadsheet into Caramel’s Customers list with full field mapping.

  • Your spreadsheet must have a header row.
  • The sheet must be in a Google account you can authorize.
  1. Open Integrations and find the Google Sheets card.
  2. Click Connect. A Google sign-in popup opens.
  3. Sign in and grant access. The popup closes and the Google Sheets settings panel opens.
  1. In the settings panel, click Select spreadsheet.
  2. Browse your Google Drive and pick the spreadsheet. Then pick the sheet tab.
  3. Caramel reads the header row. In the Field Mapping section, drag each column to the matching Caramel customer field (first name, last name, email, phone, etc.).
  4. Click Save.

Click Sync now to run an immediate import. Caramel shows processed, inserted, updated, skipped, and failed counts after each sync.

Caramel reads rows from the selected sheet and creates or updates matching Customers records. It does not write back to the spreadsheet.

Trigger automations when calendar events are created, updated, or cancelled.

  1. Open Integrations and find the Google Calendar card.
  2. Click Connect and authorize Google access.
  3. The card shows Connected.

Google Calendar events appear as triggers available in Journeys and the workflow builder. For example: send a follow-up message when a calendar event is cancelled, or enroll a customer in a Journey when an appointment is created.

Attach and sync files between Google Drive and Caramel.

  1. Open Integrations and find the Google Drive card.
  2. Click Connect and authorize Google access.
  3. The card shows Connected.

With Google Drive connected, you can upload files to a Drive folder and create folders from Caramel workflow actions.

  1. Open Integrations and click the connector card.
  2. In the settings panel, click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm. Existing synced data in Caramel is not deleted.
