Create your business

A business in Caramel is your workspace — it holds your customers, forms, marketing campaigns, integrations, and settings. After you create an account, the onboarding wizard guides you through creating your first business.

Each business is a separate workspace with its own:

  • Customer list and segments
  • Forms and submissions
  • Marketing journeys, broadcasts, and templates
  • Integrations and settings
  • Team members and roles
  • Subscription plan

Everything you do in Caramel happens inside a business. If you manage multiple brands or locations that should stay separate, you can create more than one.

After signing up, Caramel takes you straight to the setup wizard at /create-business. The wizard has 8 steps:

  1. Welcome — a quick overview of what you’re about to set up.
  2. Industry — choose your primary industry (retail, hospitality, healthcare, etc.).
  3. Specialization — pick your specific business type within that industry.
  4. Business info — enter your business name, country, and size.
  5. Products — select the features you want to use (marketing, forms, etc.).
  6. Plan — choose your subscription plan (see Choose a plan).
  7. Integrations — optionally connect tools like Shopify, HubSpot, or Square.
  8. Complete — your workspace is ready.

Tip You can exit the wizard at any time — your progress is saved. If you’ve already entered a business name, click Start your free trial to create the workspace immediately on the Starter plan (no card required).

To add another workspace after your first one is set up, click All businesses at the top of the sidebar, then click Create business.

Note Lifetime grant holders cannot self-serve create an additional business. Contact support if you need one added to your account.

Click All businesses in the sidebar to see every workspace linked to your account. Click a business name to switch to it.
